We had a very busy end to the summer term with lots of activities including a messy play day which was indeed very messy. The children had great fun exploring the texture of different materials including custard, spaghetti, baked beans, jelly and cornflour!
We all enjoyed a lovely day out at Toddington Railway Station. We had been learning about journeys and different methods of travel and for our end of term trip we had a super journey on the train to Cheltenham and back. The children were all very excited and especially enjoyed the tunnel. The time passed very quickly and before we knew it we were at Cheltenham station. After a quick drink we got back on the train for the return journey. Back in Toddington we had a picnic on the grass and then were able to have fun in the play area.
On the last day of term we had a Red Banana Drama session with Kerry Boorman who took the children on a journey on a magic carpet. Parents and Grandparents then joined us for a sing song where the children sang a selection of songs they had learnt throughout the term. This was followed by a bring and share picnic for everyone.
