Summertime Fun!

We are now fast approaching the end of the Preschool year and all the older Preschool children have started their visits to ‘big’ school.

We had a lovely time before the May holiday exploring the world of mini beasts. We made a wormery and the children enjoyed digging up worms to put in it. The children helped to make a mini beast city, but the snail they put in it decided to move home! They all took part in lots of mini beast crafts and activities.

We finished off with a visit from Zoo Lab, presenting a wriggly roadshow. They brought along a snake, a giant snail, a giant cockroach, a toad, a stick insect, a tarantula and 2 rats. The children were able to touch the creatures and find out how they moved.

This term we are thinking about journeys and the children are enjoying telling us about journeys they have made.
